![]() It’s a really warming blend I like to add to hot cider…and mulled wine! What are those things? They’re ususally a blend of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg an allspice. What are mulling spices?Īh, you caught the addition of mulling spices. This is a good time to use an inexpensive bottle of wine, I normally go with Pinot Noir, even though I’m more of a Cabernet/Malbec girl, I like the lighter flavor here. Instead of sugar, I’m using apple cider and maple syrup to sweeten, mulling spices to flavor and a bit of Grand Marnier for citrus and depth of flavor. ![]() That’s easy! Just some wine (duh), apple cider, some sort of sweetener, and spices to start with. I’m planning on making this mulled wine recipe on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, we’re hosting both sides of our families this year and this will be easy peasy for me to make for all of them.Īlso on the list is my chocolate pie, my winter fruit salad, maybe my fave roasted bruschetta dip and hmmmm…I’ve got to think about what else to add. A girl can dream, can’t she?Īnywho, you can bet this is going at the top of my Christmas to make list. ![]() I’m writing this (wayyyy too late at night) and all I want is a steaming mug of it and a fire. It takes minimal effort, it makes a buncha booze & it is the coziest thing you’ve ever tasted. To me, this mulled wine is the ULTIMATE Christmas cocktail. 5 simple ingredients come together on the stove or in a crockpot for a cup of cheer. This mulled wine recipe will warm your heart and knock your socks off it’s so good.
